About Us: campusgreen.com is an exciting news and internet community website for college students. Here you can read campus news, national news, finance and career articles tailored just for you, create your own blog, post classifieds, participate in discussion forums and create a professional user profile so that employers and other users can learn more about you (and maybe offer you a job!). You can also use our financial calculators to help you make real world decisions about budgeting, choosing a credit card, and more.
Content: Along the top of our site you will find tabs for local campus news and national news. We also have sections on money matters and career issues designed just for you. On the left hand column you will find your own university local campus news.
Forums: If there's a comment button at the end of an article, that means there's a forum. Click on it, and add a comment. Get a discussion going! You can find a complete list of all the forums at your school or in the campusgreen network by clicking on the "Forums" tab at the top. When you click on a forum, if you like it, add it to "My Forums" so you can find it again easily. You can also start your own forum.
User Profiles/Blogs: In the top left hand column click on "Manage My Profile." This is one of the most important features of campsugreen.com. Here you can add your picture, a resume, and discuss internships and jobs you'd like to get. You can also start your own blog and add videos. Have your own newspaper column that other students on your campus can read. You can add a forum to your blog so that other can comment on what you have to say or make suggestions on how to improve a resume you've downloaded.
My Green Page: When you fill out your profile, your My Green Page will be automatically created even if you haven't added any content or blog. Think of it as a mini-resume to tell others about yourself.
MyGreendex: This is campusgreen's version of a rolodex. Whenever you find another user that you want to keep track of, add them to your greendex. When a member of your greendex updates their profile, you'll be notified.
Options/Manage: When you click on these buttons, you can email an article or add it to your favorite links in the left hand column. For instance, if you find a student blog you really like, add it to your favorites so you can read it everyday.
When you "view my profile" and click on options, you can update your My Green Page, add a blog, an article, your own forum, or a video.
Classifieds: In the lower left hand column, click on "Classifieds." Here you can post a picture and description of something you want to sell, if you're looking for a roommate, or maybe a ride back home. What makes it most valuable it that you're selling and buying your stuff from other students on your campus and in the campusgreen network.
Have fun, talk and learn about important new things, post a classified, and get a job.
